Tech, tea and treats – Safer online shopping and banking

Join us at Subiaco Library for Tech, Tea and Treats; where you can enjoy a cup of tea and some sweet Christmas treats, hear a educational talk about a specific tech related topic each month, then stay after the talk where as a special treat students from the Cyber West Hub will be on hand to offer some one-on-one tech help for your mobile phone or tablet.

Shopping and banking online can make your life easier, providing you with modern conveniences while helping you avoid queues and save time. You can buy items, transfer money and pay bills from your computer or your mobile device, giving you choice and freedom whether you’re at home or out and about.

Cybersecurity expert, Caitriona Forde, will be on hand to show you out how to avoid the scammers, keep your bank details safe and make sure the website your using is the real deal.

Getting to the event:

Subiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. For more information on getting around Subiaco visit the city’s website.

You are not required to bring a ticket with you. Names will be checked at the door. Please note that space is limited and registration is essential. Please only register if you will definitely be attending.
