Tree planting with RAC | Friday 18 July

Join us for a nature-filled morning at Harmony Fields Reserve for our Member tree planting event on Friday, 18 July.

Get your boots on the ground and help us plant up to 5000 native seedlings throughout the grounds of Harmony Fields Reserve in Maddington.

In partnership with Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group (AGLG), and City of Gosnells, RAC members have the opportunity to discover first-hand the benefits of contributing to our environment.

No prior experience needed, whether you’re a green thumb or first-time planter, we welcome all members! However, spots are limited, and registrations essential so don’t wait – dig in! Note: a maximum of two tickets is allocated per registration.

What you need to know:

• Public parking is available off Alcock Street, Maddington. On arrival register at the RAC marquee.
• Volunteers will be provided with a planting demonstration and safety induction before the event begins.
• All tools are provided just bring comfy clothes, closed-in shoes and community spirit!
• Lunch and refreshments provided throughout the morning.
• RAC activations will also be on site, and understand how you can support positive environmental change in your own community.
• This event is suitable for ages six and above, all children must be supervised by a legal guardian.

Why tree planting matters to RAC:

At RAC, our Vision 2030 is for a safe, sustainable and connected future for Western Australians. The revegetation of cleared land helps to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere, due to carbon remaining stored within trees as they grow. Pollutants from vehicles can directly impact our air quality, environment, and health.

Tree planting is just one of many ways RAC is working to offset and reduce these harmful emissions to make our air cleaner and healthier.
