The event will begin with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land. This ancient ceremony helps cleanse the space and invites positive energy, encouraging all to reflect on Australia’s proud, ancient heritage. Two inflatable soccer pitches (20m x 30m) will host basic skills sessions, followed by round-robin games where children will be placed into small, culturally diverse teams to promote unity, encouraging participants to share their cultures and build friendships through sport. A free BBQ will offer a variety of foods from different cultures, creating an opportunity for families to come together, share, and celebrate the diversity that makes Australia unique. Multicultural community groups and organisations will also have stalls to showcase their cultures and the ways they support the community. This event embodies Australia’s commitment to inclusion, bringing communities together to celebrate being part of an ancient, multicultural nation that values everyone.
