Worm Farming Workshop – March 2026

Do you want to reduce food waste going to your bin, and make your own fertiliser? Then join us for our Worm Farming Workshop!
Worms are a great way to convert your kitchen waste into fertiliser. They convert the waste into both castings and liquid fertiliser, which are great for plants! You will learn all about the art of worm farming with a hands-on demonstration provided by the Worm Shed.
This workshop is part of the Home Waste Compost Subsidy program. You can purchase a subsidised worm farm for $95 at the workshop or simply join us to learn more about recycling organic waste at home. Don’t forget to bring your proof of address e.g. driver’s license or utility bill if you intend to purchase!
Not a Cockburn Resident? No worries, feel free to attend anyway. Many of our neighbouring councils offer similar subsidies which you will be able to access.
Sustainability is a key strategic value for the City of Cockburn. Our vision is to manage our waste services sustainability and lead and support a community that avoids waste generation, reduces environmental impacts and recognises that waste is a valuable resource to be recovered, reused and recycled.
Cost: $5 per ticket
