Beerfarm, Metricup

Beerfarm Metricup

Do you love a craft beer? Beerfarm in Metricup is set on a sprawling cattle farm, north of Margaret River.  More than just a brewery, Beerfarm has made a name for itself with top-notch BBQ-style dishes too. So much so that you should book a table well in advance to ensure you get to enjoy lunch here.

You arrive at Beerfarm through an old shed, giving you all the farm feels. This opens out into a lofty shed, which is now home to the lively bar. The rustic vibe continues through to the main dining area, which is found in a covered shed too.

If you’re visiting with grandkids, there’s plenty to keep them entertained. A wooden fort play area has plenty of climbing equipment, an old tractor, farm animals and football goals on the huge lawns – be sure to bring a ball. The steep grassy hill is transformed into a slip-and-slide in summer.

Beerfarm has plenty of craft beer styles to choose from, so be sure to explore new flavours with a tasting paddle. Beerfarm’s BBQ-style dishes are delicious. While the menu is focused on carnivores, there are plenty of options for those with different dietary needs. My favourite dish was that crispy lamb ribs with masterstock caramel, sesame, bean shoots, herbs, peanuts and lime. We loved these so much, we went back for another plate!

The creative dishes keep things interesting. For those who like to keep things simple, the Black Angus beef burger with crisp bacon, melty cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, Carolina mustard, aioli and smoked tomato jam is sure to satisfy. The burger is served with chips.

On the children’s menu are fish and chips, plus a pasta dish, so the choice is limited. High chairs are available.

Beerfarm is a great lunch destination for those on a Margaret River holiday, particularly for groups and families.
