Collie Tourist Park is a peaceful and practical base for exploring the Collie River Valley, particularly if you enjoy nature, walking trails, scenic drives and a relaxed country-town atmosphere. Set among large shady trees close to the centre of town, the park is handy for local shops, cafes and attractions, while still offering the quiet feel of a leafy holiday park.

Previously known as Collie River Valley Tourist Park, the park is now part of Summerstar Tourist Parks and is known as Collie Tourist Park. Its location is one of its biggest advantages. Collie is recognised as an official Trail Town, making it a great choice for travellers who like to get outdoors without having to travel far from their accommodation. From the park, it is easy to access the region’s walking trails, mountain biking routes, waterways and scenic natural attractions.
Accommodation options include powered caravan and camping sites, unpowered sites, holiday units with ensuites, and non-ensuite cabins. The powered sites are shaded and well maintained, suitable for caravans, camper trailers and campers who would like access to power. If you prefer a little more comfort, the holiday units offer air-conditioning and kitchen facilities, making them a convenient option for a short break or longer stay. Non-ensuite cabins are also available, with guests using the park’s modern shared amenities.
The park is well set up for self-catered stays. Guests have access to a camp kitchen, barbecue facilities and a games room, making it easy to cook a simple meal, relax with friends or spend a quiet evening on site. There are two spacious amenities blocks with toilets and showers, along with coin-operated laundry facilities. A sewer dump point is also available for those travelling by motorhome, RV or caravan, and park staff can point it out on the map when you arrive.

For those who like to stay connected, there is a Wi-Fi hot spot available for guests. Free parking for one vehicle is included with cabin accommodation or caravan and camping site bookings, and additional parking may be available if arranged with the park before booking. The park also provides drinking water, credit card facilities and tourist information, with reception staff able to offer local tips and up-to-date advice on what to see and do around Collie.
One of the features many travellers will appreciate is that Collie Tourist Park is pet friendly on caravan and camping sites. Pets are not permitted in units or cabins, so it is worth checking the park’s pet policy before arrival if you are travelling with a four-legged companion.
There is plenty to explore nearby. Collie is home to well-known long-distance routes including the Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi Trail, as well as the Wambenger Trails network, which includes walking, mountain biking and waterway trails. Wellington National Park is also within easy reach and is home to Wellington Dam, famous for its enormous mural, “Reflections”, painted by Guido Van Helten. The artwork is a striking tribute to local community stories and is considered the largest dam wall mural in the world.
The Collie area is also known for its beautiful swimming and picnic spots. Honeymoon Pool, Stockton Lake, Black Diamond Lake, Lake Kepwari, Potters Gorge and Minningup Pool are all popular places to cool off or enjoy a relaxed day outdoors. Even if you are not swimming, these locations are lovely for a scenic drive, picnic or gentle wander among the trees.
Collie Tourist Park is best suited to travellers who value a clean, convenient and friendly base rather than a resort-style holiday park. It does not focus on large-scale children’s entertainment, but it does offer the essentials for a comfortable stay, with good facilities, shady surrounds and easy access to some of the South West’s best outdoor attractions. For over-55s looking for a quiet getaway with nature, trails and country hospitality close by, it is a very handy place to stay.
