Rocky Ridge, a beloved beer name from WA’s southwest, has officially landed in Perth with the opening of their brand-new taphouse in Duncraig. For those looking for a relaxed yet vibrant spot to enjoy a drink and a bite, this is a fantastic addition to the northern suburbs.

We visited during the opening weekend, and the atmosphere was buzzing. With a whopping 40 beers on tap, there’s something for every palate – from crisp pilsners to rich stouts and tangy sours (their Rocky Candy sour is a favourite).

If beer isn’t your thing, I can confirm that the watermelon gin cocktail (found on tap) is a refreshing and summery alternative. There’s a small range of wines and soft drinks on offer too.

When we visited, the taphouse had a limited menu of pub-style bites, with a view to expand this soon after opening. The food we tried (grilled chorizo and fries) was satisfying and being savoury with a little salt, paired well with the drinks.

The outdoor seating area, shaded by a big, beautiful tree, is a highlight – a great spot to relax and soak up the good vibes. In cooler months, the outdoor patio is able to be fully enclosed.

Rocky Ridge Duncraig is both family and dog-friendly, making it an ideal choice for a laid-back outing with loved ones. This is a smaller spot, with no room for a playground, so young children may become restless. It’s proving very popular, so worth arriving early to secure a seat, as the place fills up quickly.
Rocky Ridge Taphouse is a welcome addition to Perth’s beer scene. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or simply love sipping a drink in a lively atmosphere, this taphouse is well worth a visit.

We’re already looking forward to returning to explore the full menu. Cheers to a great new local!
