My, how time flies. It has been over seven years since I visited this solid spot with my parents. Over the years, I’ve dined at Brewhouse Margaret River a few times. It’s always been a really enjoyable experience, with both exceptional, but casual food and a lively atmosphere. Brewhouse is found right on the edge of town, about an 8-minute walk from the Margaret River Tourist Information Centre, which is handy if you’re staying in the town itself. The brewery offers quality beer, an elevated pub-style offering, and friendly local hospitality.

There’s a big beer garden with tones of shaded picnic tables, wrap around covered veranda and sandy playground for the grandkids. Plus, if you have the fur kids in tow, like us, you’ll be happy to hear that Brewhouse is dog friendly. Want to know a little about accessibility? There is disabled parking, ramps and a disabled bathroom here. The busy car park is on a slope, and the footpaths are on a small slope too.

My dad who loves an English style ale was spoiled for choice. There’s something to please all beer lovers from an Aussie larger, English golden ale, stout, pale ales, pilsner, IPA, German-style Kolsch and more.

The menu, which has an Asian influence, has plenty of choice too. There’s share plates, pizza, salads and more. My mum went for her usual go-to ‘Fish and Chips’, washed down with a local chardy. It got a solid review – a generous portion, fresh, flaky fish and a well-dressed, quality side salad.

Feeling like something a little different, my dad and I enjoyed a deliciously different take on a classic Caesar salad. This had extra crisp pork belly slices, sushi-style rice, edamame beans, boiled egg and more. We both really enjoyed this.

The teenager enjoyed a buffalo chicken pizza, it was tasty, saucy and had meat.

We found the food at Brewhouse tasty, fresh and well-priced. We’d absolutely return for another long lunch and bask in more of that surfy, relaxed Margaret River vibe.
