Brown Street Grill, East Perth

Brown Street Grill

Are you looking for a vibrant place to enjoy a meal in East Perth? Look no further than the Brown Street Grill at Bright Tank Brewery! Nestled in the heart of East Perth, this gem is hidden down a leafy residential street, just off Graham Farmer Freeway. Brown Street Grill offers up a mouthwatering menu where perfectly cooked meats and fresh WA produce is the star.

Brown Street Grillโ€™s home is within an industrial inner city brewery, so expect a bustling atmosphere and you may be seated at the long tall share table. If youโ€™d rather have your own table, be sure to specify this in your booking. Thereโ€™s also a little outdoor dining at the entrance.

The highlight of Brown Street Grill is undoubtedly its menu. Executive Chef Stewart Laws, who you may know from TV show โ€œOur State on a Plateโ€, ย and his team create dishes that showcase premium West Aussie produce. ย From juicy steaks and fresh seafood to plenty of GF and vegetarian options too, there’s something for everyone.ย The restaurant offers a selection of in-house brewed craft beers from Bright Tank Brewery that perfectly complement your meal. Tasting paddles are a great place to start. For non-beer lovers there’s wine and non-alcoholic drinks.

Brown Street Grillโ€™s lively atmosphere may not be for everyone, but it is great for groups to meet over food and drinks. The menu changes regulary, so you may not find these specific dishes on the menu now, but this will give you an idea on the style of cooking from the BSG kitchen. We shared achiote beef skewers, with roja picante and a tasty green tomato salsa.

Perfectly cooked 300gm grass fed sirloin, was served with glazed mushrooms and a rich port jus. I loved the alleppo pepper crusted organic lamb, with ajvar, garlic labne, and a preserved lemon gremolata.

On the side we shared, Wagyu fat potatoes, with speck, scallions and sour cream.

I couldnโ€™t resist finishing on a sweet note. The wood baked basque cheesecake, with px cream, and roasted fruits was worth squeezing in.

The restaurant frequently has specials, like a midweek steak night. Be sure to look out for that. Brown Street Grill has ample paid street parking nearby. I found the friendly staff really knowledgeable and happy to suggest food and drink choices.

Brown Street Grill at Bright Tank Brewery is a great destination for those seeking delicious dining with a buzzing atmosphere. Be sure to book a spot and the flavours at Brown Street Grill for yourself.
