Dog Beaches in Perth

Whether your dog loves a dip on a hot summer’s day, or a brisk stroll along the sand in winter, there are plenty of dog beaches in Perth! Many dog beaches also offer mobile dog washers as well as coffee vans on weekends – handy for that early morning caffeine fix! Some dog friendly beaches are close to popular ocean-side cafes too. Dog Beaches in Perth – North of the River

Two Rocks Dog Beach
Dogs are welcome to swim and play at part of Two Rocks Beach, south of the southern groyne.

Yanchep Dog Beach
Part of Yanchep Beach has been made into a dog beach, south of the northern end of Compass Park.

Quinns Rocks Dog Beach
There are two entry points and car parks leading onto Quinns Rocks Dog Beach. This is a long dog beach, and there are quite a few rocks along the way. Access at the northern end is near Blu Vue Café – handy for a take away coffee.

Hillarys Dog Beach
One of the most popular northern dog beaches. Here there’s toilets, showers and drinking water facilities for humans and dogs. On weekends there’s also a mobile dog washer and coffee van. At the northern end, horses are also allowed to swim.

Watermans Dog Beach
This tiny beach is sheltered by rocky cliffs, and found next to the carpark between Margaret Street and Ada Street on West Coast Drive. Take a stroll to Little Bay Café, where there’s a take away coffee and snack window.

North Beach Dog Beach
The sandy beach is a short walk from Flora Terrace and popular coffee spot Tropico. There’s not a lot of rocks in the water, making it a great spot for a dip for dogs and people alike. The best access point is at the southern end of the beach, down concrete steps.

Bennion Beach, Trigg
The small dog beach is opposite the popular Yelo Cafe, The steep stairs may not make it easy for old dogs (or older owners!). At the top of the stairs there is a bowl of water and water fountain.

Peasholm Dog Beach, Scarborough
This dog beach is a very popular place for dog lovers. The wide beach is perfect for a game of fetch. It’s a good spot for walkies too, as the beach stretches a couple of km’s south to the “Floreat Drain” at North Floreat Beach. Peasholm Dog Beach also offers public toilets and water fountains.

South City Beach
This 2km stretch of beach, has fairly calm waters for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Found near to Hamptons and Odyssea, and a take away café next to Clancys.

Mosman/North Leighton Beach
The beautiful white sands are perfect to sit at with a coffee, which you can get from nearby Orange Box café. The cafe is very dog-friendly. Neighbouring Bib & Tucker has “dog parking” out the front.

South of the River

South Beach, Fremantle
Dogs are allowed to swim at the northern end of South Beach at Fremantle. Be sure to grab a drink or bite to eat from the nearby South Beach Café too.

C.Y.O’Connor Beach
This is a lovely beach for your dog to stretch its legs on. Make a day of it and make use of the bbqs and picnic shelters found at the reserve. There’s toilets and water fountains too.

Jervoise Bay
This popular dog beach has parking and public toilets found near to the groin. For a drink or bite to eat, head to the Woodman Point Café, located nearby.

Rockingham Dog Beach
The ocean at Rockingham Dog Beach is generally calm. If your dog is scared of waves, the shallow waters might tempt them to take a dip. It’s a great beach for small/tiny dogs that like to paddle.

Secret Harbour Dog Beach
The Secret Harbour Dog Beach is wide and spacious, perfect for very energetic dogs. There’s lots of parking, as well as a water fountain and shower to get that pesky sand off feet and paws.

Golden Bay Dog Beach
At Golden Bay you’ll find a white sandy beach that’s begging for a long walkies or a swim. There’s even a dog friendly deli across the road, handy for grabbing a drink and bite to eat on the go.
