Farm Stay, Busselton

Farm Stay, Vasse

If you are heading south down towards Busselton and not sure you want to spend your time in a busy caravan park in town, consider coming out to a small farm stay on Kaloorup Road, Vasse (it does not have a formal name).

We were surprised at the prices for caravan parks in Busselton, wewere quoted between $40 and $56 dollars for 2 adults on a powered site, so when we found out the farm stay was $12 a night we decided to give it a try.Farm Stay, BusseltonWhen you arrive you will drive down a small avenue of trees to well grassed grounds, with plenty of room for everyone. There are no amenities here so you do need to be self-contained. The TV reception is good, generators are permitted and the park is pet friendly.Farm Stay, Vasse A small flock of Carnaby cockatoos arrived at dusk along with Kookaburras, parrots and other small birds. There is also a couple of cows in the rear paddock.Farm Stay, VasseA large new Coles supermarket is 4 kms away where there is also a Shell service station and toilets and then 6 kms to Abbey beach where you will find a car park, boat ramp and unspoiled beaches. From here it is a short drive to Yallingup beaches, Caves House and the Margaret River wine region.

Busselton township is 12 kms away with lots of activities for all ages. The foreshore development is a wonderful place to spend your day with good areas for the young ones to play and a great enclosed swimming area and let’s not forget the famous Busselton jetty. There is a sealed pathway from Abbey Beach to Busselton along the foreshore for walking, jogging and cycling.Farm Stay, VasseThere is a dump point and water available in Busselton but they are locked and you need to ring the council to get access codes.

This camp is lovely and the hosts are very pleasant and eager to help you enjoy a lovely quiet evening.
