Margaret River Bakery

Margaret River Bakery

At the northern end of town, Margaret River Bakery stands out for its quirky charm and consistently good food. Open since the 1960s, it has only grown in popularity over the decades. Known for its Euro-style freshly baked pastries, cakes, and bread, this spot has something to satisfy every craving. Often with a queue halfway down their carpark, trust me, it’s worth a little wait.ย More than just a bakery, the bustling spot is also a well-known brunch destination. Whether youโ€™re in the mood for something sweet or savoury, the keep-it-simple brunch menu has options that hit the spot. Think toast and eggs, toast and jam, or toast and avo, with a side of bacon. Pair your meal with a well-made coffee or a freshly squeezed juice, and youโ€™re set for a day exploring Margs.

The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with an eclectic vibe that feels welcoming. Itโ€™s the kind of place where you can take your time over a meal or grab something quick to go before heading out to explore Margaret River’s main street. My son enjoyed a decedent bacon and egg croissant, finished with a bechamel sauce.

The selection of baked goods is a real highlight. From flaky croissants (sweet and savory) to gourmet baguettes, toasties and of course many incarnations of the meat pie, everything is made with attention to detail and full of flavour. And for those who appreciate fresh bread, the organic sliced loaves here are definitely worth picking up.

Have a sweet tooth? You’ll be in heaven. Choose from a changing range of cakes, doughnuts, pain au chocolat, tarts, meringues and more!

Open seven days, the bakery is also found at the iconic Margaret River Farmers Markets from 7.30am on Saturdays. Whether youโ€™re stopping by for a takeaway snack or sitting down for a relaxed brunch, Margaret River Bakery delivers on all fronts. Fresh bakes, great coffee, and a laid-back vibe make it a reliable choice in Margaret River.
