Piggy Food Co, North Fremantle
Piggy Food Co was a delightful find in the heart of the North Fremantle food hub. Fantastic Mexican fare, delicious craft beer and a great atmosphere without having to trek into Freo.

Piggy Food Co, North Fremantle Parking can be a bit tricky in this area, so be aware that you may need to walk a little way. For the less abled, there is a drop zone at the front of the establishment, so that could be an alternative. Piggy Food Co, North FremantleThere is plenty of seating both in and outdoors. There is a great alfresco beer garden and a spacious open plan style inside. We sat in a booth style seating just outside and enjoyed watching the world go by. Piggy Food Co, North FremantleIf you enjoy Mexican food, you will adore what Piggy and Co have to offer. Plenty to choose from for all pallets and dietary needs, as well as catering for both light eaters and those with a more enthusiastic appetite.  The Menu definitely has something for everyone!

Piggy Food Co, North FremantleWe were quite ravenous on this beautiful day and ordered a few tasty morsels that really hit the spot! We ordered the Wings and while the “Burn your face off” sauce was tempting, we opted for a sensible smoke chipotle which was not only delicious, but kept the old taste buds in tact! The accompanying blue cheese dipping sauce was to die for!

Hog Fries loaded with the most tender, mouth water pulled pork lovingly covered with the Piggy Food Co in house made BBQ sauce and topped with cheese, salsa and sour cream. A meal in itself! We couldn’t decide between the Baja Fish or Shrimp Tacos – so of course we ordered both! While they were equally delectable in taste, the shrimp taco was the clear winner and one we will definitely be ordering again on return.

The craft beer on offer sounded amazing with a fantastic choice for all tastes…

About Kerry Lane

I am 67 years of age and retired. I was born and bred in Perth but now live with my husband, Michael, in Albany, Western Australia. We have four children and six grandchildren. I have always enjoyed sports but my passion was basketball in which I played and attained State level. I coached at both junior and senior levels. I was also the team manager for the Perth Quit Breakers (now known as the Perth Lynx) for many years and was on the Board of the WA Basketball Association. I worked for Woodside Energy for 19 years before transferring to Darwin with my husband, also a Woodsider, who took up management of the Northern Territory operations of the company. I was the Private Secretary to the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory Govt. during my time there before retiring. My husband and I then travelled around Australia in a caravan for a year before finally settling for a seachange in Albany. We built a house at beautiful Goode Beach, joined the Albany Golf Club and started to explore our surrounds. We have made many friends since arriving in Albany and family and friends from near and far enjoy visiting and experiencing our part of the world. We are heavily involved in the Golf Club which keeps us busy. I enjoy reading, wining, dining, good friends and still love to travel both here in Oz and overseas.
