If you enjoy the brunch and coffee offering at the popular Sistas Burns Beach and Sistas Yanchep cafes – there’s good news. Their sister venue has opened slap bang in the middle! Sistas Mindarie Marina opened in March 2022 and has certainly hit the ground running.

It is found at the former Dome café and what a transformation. The light space is unrecognizable. There’s shady spots to dine al fresco, by the marina’s edge, the dining room has cosy booths, and there are also spots to sit out the back. If you like to take your pooch along for a pupa chino, the outside areas welcome dogs.

The SoCo Roasters coffee is good. And their mugs are LARGE!

Sistas Head Chef has worked in many quality Perth restaurants, including Print Hall, and headed up the popular Chinta kitchen. You’ll find some of his Burns Beach favourites, like the “Blackstone” at Mindarie. The all day menu caters for poeple wanting breakfast, as well as lunch. The crisp Potato Hash, topped with runny poached eggs, bacon, seeded mustard sauce and a heap of fresh rocket and parmesan shavings is yummy.

The smashed avo with feta and “African Rafiki” (a spice blend similar to dukka) is best enjoyed with a generous squeeze of lemon.

I hear that a liquor license is also coming soon. Sistas Mindarie is a brilliant little café for a waterside brunch or lunch in Perth’s outer northern suburbs. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed our brunch and will absolutely return.
