Madalena’s

The excellent husband and wife team behind the popular food truck Comida do Sul are now the proud owners of Madalena’s which opened back in 2019. It very quickly became one of the most popular and talked about restaurants in Perth. It also became well-known throughout Australia.

This super relaxed and exciting venue isn’t strictly tapas, but it does have an excellent menu available that celebrates and sheds light on the amazing local seafood we have at our fingertips. You will also find an excellent wine menu that has been specifically curated to complement the menu items.

If you weren’t aware of the beautiful Perth vibes, you would most certainly think you were in beautiful Barcelona.

Mummucc

Mummucc’s menu isn’t entirely tapas. In fact, we are really bending the rules on this a bit. However, this menu is full of delicious and flavoursome snacks for you to share with the ones you love. You can enjoy things like mammoth Skull Island prawns with chilli vinegar and bottarga butter, smoked sardines on charred sourdough, and even Freo octopus skewers with spicy nduja oil.

When it tastes as amazing as this, it is super easy to bend the rules! I mean, we accept it!

Pep’s

Pep’s is one of the best places to find tapas in Perth. While not officially named a tapas restaurant, it offers small plate offerings for you to share with your friends. Every so often, the menu will change to make room for some new delights that you will absolutely love.

They have so many flavoursome items for you to enjoy, as well as a delicious wine list.

Sweetwater Rooftop Bar

Sweetwater Rooftop Bar absolutely nails it when it comes to tapas. They offer amazing pan-Asian share plates that go hand-in-hand with the refreshing cocktails, you can look out on the water as you share delicious tapas items with the ones you love in the sun.

The experience and service you will receive at Sweetwater Rooftop Bar make it easy to see why it is a crowd favourite in Fremantle. Just make sure you make a booking to secure your spot.

Andaluz Bar & Tapas Perth

Andaluz Bar & Tapas is always at the forefront of our minds when it comes to excellent tapas in Perth. The small bar scene offered here has never changed to ensure that the vibe has always stayed as consistent as possible. Known to be a very Melbourne-esque spot, it isn’t hard to see why people flock here for some good, old-fashioned tapas.

These guys have plenty of tapas staples such as boquerones, patatas bravas, calamari, and more. They also offer some special boards that are absolutely amazing to look at and devour.

Duende

Known for being Perth’s very first tapas bar, Duende has long been a favourite for many Perth locals and visitors alike. This spot has always been a date-night favourite as it dishes up some of the best tapas in Perth. Open since 2003, this spot now has a great menu, kind staff members, and some great drinks to complement the menu.

If you’re looking for a truly classic tapas menu at an authentic venue, Duende is the number one place to go. We highly recommend this venue. Not only does all of the food here taste good, but it also looks great too so that you can snap a pic for Instagram!

Rustico

If you’re looking for a little slice of Barcelona in Perth, Rustico is most certainly the place to be. The bar here is perfectly positioned to allow you to enjoy a post-swim sangria or snack. Better yet, you can take advantage of all the happy hour specials on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

As they would say in Barcelona: full stomach, happy heart!

Pinchos

Pinchos has very quickly become a popular place to enjoy authentic and quality tapas in Perth. Aside from great food, they also offer authentic European prices so that you can eat great food without breaking the bank. The classic items here start from only $1 or $2 for small serves of chorizo or anchovies.

At this price, it is hard to argue against trying absolutely everything on the menu! There is also a huge selection of authentic Spanish-cured meats here and conservas. The Spanish omelette is yet another great addition to the menu. If you have room left in your stomach. You can enjoy bigger plates such as the raciones such as calamari and chorizo with piquillo cream, meatballs with pine nuts and goat cheese, and amazing pork skewers.

Just make sure your pants have a bit of stretch in them as you will be so full by the time you leave.
