Did you hear there’s a new (2023) brunch spot in Wanneroo? Popular chain Turquoise Café has opened a café in the northern suburbs, in the spot Dome formerly operated out of. Turquoise Cafe welcomes you with a contemporary ambiance. The café’s is an ideal place for a leisurely brunch with friends, if you happen to live in the area – it’s right next to Wanneroo Central Shopping Center.
Turquoise Cafe boasts an extensive all day breakfast style menu that caters to a wide range of palates. From classic brunch staples like eggs benedict and waffles to healthier options such as roasted mushrooms or smashed avocado on toast, there’s something to satisfy every taste bud. The café is “famous” for its giant breakfast platters that can be shared (min 2 people). These include bacon, sausages, eggs 3 ways, hash browns, plus waffles and more. Plus, there’s ready to go sandwiches in the cabinet. They offer a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options too, so that everyone can enjoy a meal.
The café has tables inside, or outside. We sat outside, though it was a warm summer morning and found this a bit hit and miss. The patio is very sunny and the umbrellas provide limited shade and even blew over several times.
Turquoise Cafe serves up good coffee, as well as tea, juices and other drinks, like iced chocolates – perfect for summer.
I was egg-cited to eat one of my brunch favourites, eggs benedict with pulled pork.
I was a little disappointed, as the temperature of my meat was cold. I’m not sure if a cook forgot to reheat this, or if it sat on the pass for some time, but it wasn’t even luke warm. Picking my battles, I could see that they were understaffed and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Other than that, it was a tasty dish.
Turquoise Cafe ensures accessibility for all patrons with convenient free parking nearby. Turquoise Cafe in Wanneroo is still relatively new, so I put down my cold meat to teething problems. It’s good that there’s a new place to try for brunch in Wanneroo.
