Core Cider House

Found in the foothills, near Roleystone, this spot on the Canning River is so picturesque. Sit outside in the beautiful gardens or inside by the cosy fire. The Vault

In what was formerly the local Commonwealth Bank, is now Italian eatery the Vault. This family-friendly restaurant is great for groups and the hearty food is very tasty and reasonably priced.

Hainault Estate

This Bickley Valley winery offers stunning views over their vineyard, which is best enjoyed with a glass of wine and a food platter. Their cellar door is a great place to stop for a wine tasting drive around the Perth Hills too.

Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill is another popular Kalamunda coffee spot that has all your favourite brunch dishes on its menu. There’s always some taste bud tempting treats on the counter and their fresh baked friands are a favourite of mine.

The Parkerville

This historic pub is cosy in winter and a lovely spot on a sunny day too, when its huge beer garden comes to life. The pub food is good quality – tasty, unpretentious and good value – offering seniors lunch specials for $17, Monday to Friday.

Due Jolly

Another hills winery that’s well worth a visit is Due Jolly. The rustic spot has platters, heaped with tasty morsels and $5 glasses of wine! Due Jolly is only open on weekends it can get busy, so it’s best to call to book a platter. Under the cellar door you’ll also find a quaint antique and curios shop.

The Perth Hills’s newest cider house has hit the ground running. Open for brunch, nibbles and lunch, the cider house is in a beaut bush spot, with the fresh smell of gum trees and the sound of Kookaburras laughing away. Find a table in the shady grounds or in the cosy cottage.
