Cirque Du Soleil LUZIA, Perth

Cirque Du Soleil LUZIA has come to Perth! And wow – it is simply a mesmerising experience for all ages. Stepping into the Big Top at Claremont Showgrounds, I felt a wave of excitement; not only because I was stoked to be at the buzzing opening night of Luzia in Perth, but because this was my first ever Cirque Du Soleil experience. Now in its 25th year, Cirque Du Soleil is an international sensation. This is its first show in Perth for many years, and it did not disappoint.

The premiere of Cirque Du Soleil’s LUZIA was an evening of pure magic. The stage was set for a feast for the senses that transported us to a whimsical version of Mexico. There’s water, comedy, a giant treadmill and many heart stopping moments of incredible skill. We had seats towards the back of the tent (which holds about 2,500 people), and still had a great view and felt close to the action. Cirque Du Soleil has mastered their broad appeal with their unique blend of storytelling and spectacle.

From the moment the show began, the performers captivated us with their talents. The vibrant costumes, stunning set designs, and authentic Latino music created a fantastical world. I felt like I was in the midst of a tequila fever dream, with scenes so vivid they seemed almost real.

I think half the magic of the show, are the surprises, so I won’t uncover too much detail. The acrobatic performances were nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Each act was just as thrilling as the last, showcasing superhuman skills and precision. The strength, agility, flexibility and grace of the performers left me in awe, and their daring feats were met with gasps and lots of well-deserved applause.

The is an intermission about halfway through the 2-hour long show. Food, snacks and drinks are available, plus there’s lots of merch for sale. Porta toilets are outside, plus there’s accessible parking and bathrooms. We arrived about an hour before the show started and found the $20 parking at the showgrounds really easy.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience, don’t miss LUZIA. It’s a world-class circus that will be in town until September, and trust me, it’s worth every fun filled moment. Treat yourself and your loved ones to an evening of magic under the Big Top at Claremont Showground. LUZIA will delight people of all ages, from children to adults. You won’t be disappointed!
