Margaret River Markets

The Margaret River Farmers Market

Location: 272 Bussell Highway, Margaret River

Held directly on the lush grass on the TAFE grounds only just south of the heart of Margaret River, these markets are always buzzing. In fact, the committee running the Margaret River Farmers Market works extremely hard to ensure the utmost accessibility and authenticity. Every single stall holder produces, grows, or creates their product directly in the southwest region of WA.

If you’re looking for a way to get out and about and connect with the Margaret River community, these markets are the perfect introduction to the area. Better yet, you can also pick up some local produce and items while you’re there! These Margaret River markets are a great way to get up close and personal with the community.

Vasse Markets

Location: Kaloorup Road, Vasse

When: First and Third Saturday of Every Month, 8 am to 12 pm

The Vasse Markets have been run by a rather small collective of stallholders for over 30 years now. These markets bring a sense of community to the Vasse area with friendly people, great hand-crafted goods, fresh produce, cake, and coffee. To name a few, Leonie crafts gorgeous jewellery, Barb creates one-of-a-kind quirky animal aprons, pot mitts, and trivet mats, and Pauline is known for her cakes, slices, pies, and pickles!

There is something for everyone at the Vasse Markets.

The Shed Market

Location: 12 Caves Road, Abbey

When: Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (times vary)

Produce is everything at The Shed Market. However, the market itself is a great icon around the southwest area. Founded by Chris and Donna Carlyle after they found inspiration during a trip to South Africa where they visited an Earth Fair Food Market, they have now created an intimate market community in order to celebrate a true love of food.

If you’re hungry, you should head straight to Eat Street to enjoy a massive selection of delicious dishes. You can enjoy Reuben Sandwiches, fresh juices, choc turmeric lattes, raw honey, and so much more! The Shed Market also hosts regular craft markets!
