Fremantle and Mount Lawley

The Modern Eatery is a great destination that specialises in some of the best Aburi sushi you will ever taste. Aburi sushi is sushi that is partly cooked by a blow torch, and it tastes even better than it sounds. Our mouths are watering just writing about it!

These guys have a restaurant in Fremantle and another in Mount Lawley. The Mount Lawley venue is BYO only while the Fremantle venue is fully licensed and allows BYO. You really can’t go wrong with these venues!

Bonsai

Northbridge

Bonsai has a super cool approach of ‘try a bit of everything’. That is why it is the ideal place to gather your group and enjoy the menu offerings. You can either order up for the table or opt for the set menu option.

From Sunday to Thursday, you can enjoy BYO with a corkage fee of $3.50 for those who want to enjoy a beverage while they dine.

This awesome spot is pretty tucked away, but it is still a very popular and beloved spot for visitors and locals alike. Not only does this awesome venue offer BYO, but it is also incredibly cheap considering the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. This spot is said to have the best xiao long bao (soup dumplings) in the entirety of Perth.

On top of this, you can enjoy the cucumber salad, noodles, fried chicken, and so much more at this cosy yet busy venue. China Tang is the ideal place to grab a bargain meal while washing it down with your favourite beverage. We seriously hope you have some self-restraint because ordering the whole menu is tempting considering the flavour and cheap prices!

Lion Thai, Joondalup

For a long time now, Lion Thai has been the go-to Thai restaurant in all of Joondalup. Everything on the menu is made from top-quality ingredients that are packed with flavour. This keeps both locals and visitors completely delighted.

This comfortable venue always has fresh and tasty options with plenty of spice and flavour.

This awesome business is both owned and operated by family with the head chef originally being based in North Thailand. This means that you are truly eating authentic Thai meals. If we may recommend something, we do highly recommend the Beef Basil as it is beautifully tender and packed to the very brim with flavour and topped with crispy, fresh vegetables.

Want to enjoy some excellent Italian food with a side of BYO? If so, Nolita is the place you need to be! On Mondays and Tuesdays, you are welcome to bring your very own bottle of vino to this excellent venue completely free of charge. If you’re a pasta lover, you can now enjoy authentic pasta with your chosen side of red wine.

Every Friday, Someday turns into Somenight and brings out all of the goods for dinner with a BYO option. While the menu is only small, it is absolutely amazing and caters to the needs of many. Think grilled pitas stuffed to the brim with slow-cooked goodies and insanely good sides!

People absolutely love to soak in the cosy vibe here if it is possible to score a table.
