Have you checked out Karrinyup Shopping Centre since its redevelopment? I recently visited the impressive $800 million redevelopment that was opened in 2021. The days when shopping centres were merely hubs to buy grocery are long gone. Now, they offer healthcare, beauty, major banks, phone companies and many entertainment options too. It can be a lot to get around in a couple of hours. Karrinyup Shopping Centre’s concierge offers complimentary wheelchairs and power shoppers (subject to availability).
West Deck Rooftop Dining Precinct
The stylish West Deck Rooftop Dining Precinct is similar to spots at Westfield Carousel and Whitfords. There is a multitude of eating options, set amongst landscaping. There is a cuisine to suit everyone’s taste and budget. Here are just some of the eateries you’ll find:
The pub, Good Company, has lots of crowd pleasing favourites on their menu. Little Lakia café serves breakfast, lunch and great coffee.
Grill’d is popular for their fresh and tasty burgers – it’s an easy bite to eat, before heading to the cinema. Fragrant Thai dishes are found at Spice Market. Love a sushi train? Super Tetsudo is popular for Japanese meals made fresh to order at the click of the button on a tablet. Love Italian fayre? Then be sure to book a table at Criniti’s. Dandelion has been popular since opening, and has now switched to a pop up Spritz bar and Italian Kitchen “Ciao Dandy“.
Sweet tooth’s are well catered for with popular spot San Churro. As well as all the restaurants, there is live acts adding to the atmosphere on some weekends. There is plenty of seating around too, with spaces to take time out with a takeaway. If you have grandchildren in tow, there is a cubby house play area that they will love!
Shopping, Casual Dining and Entertainment
You’ll find most of the major department stores at Karrinyup – Myer, David Jones and Big W – as well as Coles, Woolworths and Aldi.
There’s even WA’s first dedicated Lego shop! If you’re after a more traditional take away food-court. This can be found at the east side’s café terrace. There is also a soft fall playground for little ones. There’s even an outdoor area with city views!
And it’s not just all about the food at Karryinup. The entertainment options are just as impressive. A Hoyts Cinema is showing all the latest movies, including in their state-of-the-art cinemas.
Hijinx Hotel isn’t your typical escape room experience. Instead, you’ll find a collection of cleverly designed challenge rooms, each offering a unique game or puzzle to solve. From testing your reaction time with light-up buttons to showing off your coordination or memory skills, there’s something for everyone.
Archie Brothers is home to the quirky Holey Moley mini golf. Strike is also found in this venue and includes bowling and escape rooms. If you’re entertaining grandchildren, they’ll love to spend time at the (very noisy) arcade game venue which also has dodgems.

The Customer Lounge offers complimentary hire of Wheelchairs and Electric gophers for all visitors. You can find the Customer Lounge on level green B1 of the east multi-deck car park.
Parking at Karrinyup Shopping Centre
There is plenty of parking at Karriynup, both covered and outside, as well as many ACROD spots and seniors bays at each entrance. The car parks are busy at the moment, with the centre re opening and the lead up to Christmas, but the red light / green light system helps you to find those elusive empty bays. Valet parking is available for a fee. There’s even Tesla charging bays.
