Next time you’re heading down the Wilman–Wadandi Highway towards Bunbury or further south, swing by Treendale Farm Hotel! It has become my reliable lunch stop, so reliable we’ve been about five times, and each visit the food has been a winner.

Just off the highway in Australind, the award-winning pub is big, bright, and thoughtfully laid out. You can choose an indoor spot for a relaxed bite, a family-friendly space by the playground if the grandkids are in tow,

or the sports bar of covered alfresco area, if you’d like to catch a game.

The menu is broad with pub classics, salads, steaks, burgers, and a few modern touches.

Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the kitchen is consistent – which is exactly what you want when you’re breaking up a long drive douth.

I shared a few plates with Mr H – sticky pork belly bites, buffalo chicken wings and lemon pepper squid.

While our friend, Mr R, savoured his burger. He’s very lucky this spot is his local!

Access is easy, parking is ample, and the atmosphere is always good. I like to enjoy a leisurely meal before getting back on the road.

Treendale Farm is one of those set-and-forget venues you can trust: comfortable surrounds (surprisingly with character for a modern spot), friendly service, and no menu gambles. It’s become part of our Southwest routine for good reason. If you have another reliable highway stop between Perth and Busselton, let us know in the comments below!
