Inara, Busselton

If youโ€™re seeking a dining experience in Busselton, with a twist of something different, look no further than Inara. The tasty spot is found in the heart of this south west coastal town, as part of the new Busselton Shopping Centre redevelopment. Inara offers a blend of middle eastern flavours, warm hospitality, and a friendly atmosphere that makes even a casual lunch feel like a special occasion.

The focus of Inaraโ€™s menu is Levantine-inspired dishes. Each plate showcases the rich and vibrant flavours of the region, which encompasses the countries of the eastern Mediterranean โ€“ Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and many more. On the drinks list is a selection of local and international wines, beers, cocktails and more. I enjoyed a mocktail from their well sized list. I love a mocktail when Iโ€™m driving, and the Jabal Rose mocktail didnโ€™t disappoint with a delicious combination ofย Pomegranate juice, strawberries, and rose water.

Inara Busselton

Thereโ€™s plenty on the menu, which is designed to share. For those with dietary preferences, Inara is accommodating, offering a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options. We started small with a couple of scallops prettily presented in their shells with preserved lemon butter, cauliflower skordalia, pickled cauliflower, and aleppo pepper. A plate of octopus with smoky eggplant masabacha (similar to hummus) was also delicious.

A must-try is their slow-cooked meats. The lamb shoulder and beef cheeks both melt in your mouth with their tender texture and aromatic spices. The beef was served with cauliflower and black garlic kuymak (traditionally a cornmeal and cheese dish), plus pickled pepper. Slow roasted Amelia Park lamb shoulder, was served with hawaij, pine nuts, cured lemon, tahini yogurt. Both standout dishes.

The ambiance at Inara, which boasts a chic fit-out, relaxed, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch when staying at or passing through the town. Whether you choose to dine indoors or opt to watch the world go by on their alfresco patio, the setting complements the meal perfectly. Every visit promises a different culinary journey through the Levent countries and territories. Be sure to head to Inara on your next trip down south.
