Grab your diaries crab lovers! Mark March 18 and 19 as being busy – the annual Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest is nearly here! After a 4 year hiatus (thanks COVID) WAโ€™s largest free regional festival is BACK. Mandurah is always a great spot to enjoy fresh local seafood, entertainment and activities โ€“ and of course the iconic Blue Manna Crab. Crabfest is a must-visit event.

Food

This weekend-long celebration of the blue manna crab, and other local produce from around the Peel region, is so much fun. Celebrity chef “Fast ED” (Better Homes and Gardens) is joining the Crab Fest experience as this yearโ€™s culinary ambassador. Follow your nose to the tasty cooking demos!

Seafood lovers can expect fresh and cooked crabs, crab inspired dishes and plenty more mouth-watering seafood (plus meat and veggie dishes too) from local Mandurah restaurants and food trucks. Pack a picnic rug and enjoy alfresco style, by the water.

If you love cooking at home, get some handy tips from at the dedicated Spudshed Cooking Stage, hosted by Celebrity Chef Paul West (River Cottage Australia) for live cooking demos and tastings throughout the weekend. Channel seven personalities from My Kitchen Rules and Susannah Carr will also be cooking up a storm.

 

 

Entertainment

Thereโ€™s something to delight for everyone at Channel 7 Mandurah Crabfest this year. From local musicians, to childrenโ€™s entertainers and more. The Music Stage will play host to local and regional musical talent, including headliners Vanessa Amorosi, Gretta Ray and Electric Fields. Plus, the Crabfest Fireworks are back! Enjoy a fab firework display light up the Mandurah night sky on Saturday from 8.30pm.

If youโ€™re visiting with grandchildren, the childrenโ€™s zone offers activities, entertainment and performances on the Stage. Plus, a visit from Fat Cat himsef!

How to Get There

If you donโ€™t want to fuss with parking, getting the train is an incredibly easy way of getting to Crab Fest. Simply hop on a train on the Mandurah line and take a FREE shuttle bus from Mandurah train station, directly to the festival on the foreshore.

Crab Fest has been held for over 20 years, so if youโ€™ve never visited, be sure to head along for a delicious day out in Mandurah!
