Did you know that you can visit the only tourist cave in Perth at Yanchep National Park? At Crystal Cave you can enjoy an underground experience spotting many natural cave features like stalagmites, helictites, columns and shawls.

This ‘stream cave’ has lots of history, and you’re sure to learn a thing or two about its geology and ecosystem. Free parking and toilets are on-site. It’s definitely best to pay a visit, before starting the tour!
First, you will descend down steep steps into the cave. The constant temperature of Crystal Cave makes this tour a comfortable all-year-round experience – even on a very hot summers day!

The tour of the limestone cave takes about 45 minutes and the guide is very knowledgeable. You’ll find out how it was formed, its indigenous links and how it was later found by Europeans. There are some information boards along the way, with many interesting facts.

A reasonable level of fitness and agility is needed. As well as steps, though the floor has been decked to make the walking surface even, there are a few tight/low spots which tall people will have to duck and watch their heads. A tour of the wonderful Crystal Cave is definitely recommended if you visit this beautiful national park!
