Amaze’n Margaret River

Amazen Margaret River

Exploring the Margaret River region is always a treat, and a visit to Amaze’n Margaret River adds a touch of adventure to your trip. Just a few minutes’ drive south of the town, this family-friendly attraction is perfect for visitors of all ages, particularly if you are looking to enjoy a day out with the grandkids.

The star of the show is the giant hedge maze, with over 1.5 kilometers of pathways that twist and turn through towering green hedges. Luckily, there’s benches throughout the maze to sit and enjoy a rest, if you get really lost! My parents really enjoyed the maze when we visited a few years ago.

The maze is challenging, and the wheelchair and stroller-friendly paths make it accessible for everyone.

Whether racing to the central wooden tower or wandering the maze’s intricate routes, you’ll enjoy the laughter and teamwork this activity is sure to inspire.

Once you’ve mastered the main maze, there’s plenty more to explore. Tackle smaller mazes like the rose maze, colour steppingstone maze, and the left-hand turn-only maze.

The well-maintained gardens and ponds offer a pretty spot to unwind, with hidden treasures like gnomes, ponds, statues, and giant chess scattered along the pathways.

For another competitive activity, try the 18-hole mini golf course, which offers fun challenges in a shady setting (additional fees apply).

Feeling hungry after all that? The café serves coffee, light meals and cakes.

Local Simmo’s ice cream is a sweet reward.

Be sure to enjoy a scoop or two on the pretty deck.

If you’d rather relax indoors, puzzles, board games, and comfy lounges await.

There’s plenty of seating in the cafe for large groups.

There’s even more to enjoy on the shady grassed areas, with picnic tables and BBQs. Why not BYO a picnic?

Plus, there’s a playground, and outdoor games like bocce, hopscotch, and giant Jenga.

Whether it’s your first visit or a long-awaited return, Amaze’n Margaret River offers a magical day out for all generations.
