Chinta High Tea

If you are looking for a classy afternoon with the ladies then look no further than a beautiful High Tea at Chinta in North Perth.
From the outside you can see that they are passionate about mixing the old with the new, as you enter through the old style entryway reminiscent of the old auto repair workshop complete with the Castrol stripes and logo you are transformed into a tropical oasis with Buddha statues, flowers, indoor plants and the smell of amazing food and coffee tempting you in closer.

We arrived a little early for our High Tea booking so the helpful staff advised us we could have a wander through the homewares shop attached while we wait for the High Tea section to open. I could have easily bought the whole shop with an array of beautiful home décor, candles, glasses and macramé plant hangers and much more. Luckily 3pm approached and we were whisked away before I could max the credit card.

We were a small booking for 4, however there were many other tables’ decked out for larger gatherings and even intimate tables for 2. Each table was adorned with bold and colourful flowers in vintage glassware. The tea sets were stunning with each setting unique in design it was a visual delight.

The staff were lovely and were prompt with serving water, coffee & tea as well as the BYO bubbles we brought along to enjoy with our high tea treats. The food came out after our drinks were served and we enjoyed tasting each little morsel as we took our time starting with the warm savoury items first before continuing on with the huge scones with jam and double cream.

We finished off with some mini pannacotta, strawberry cream éclair and a chocolatey biscuit filled with chocolate cream!

We had such a great time, and the food was very filling so there was no need to have a big dinner afterwards. It is definitely worth a visit!
High Tea price $49 per person (Includes tea and coffee). There are Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Dairy Free and Pregnancy High Teas available too upon request.
