French Riviera, Ellenbrook

The lovely French Riviera café is by Swan Valley icons, Maison St Honore. How I wish it was found in my own neighborhood! Despite being a relatively new addition, in a modern area, this café exudes oodles of personality. You can choose to enjoy the cosy ambiance indoors by the fireplace or opt for the outdoor deck, offering picturesque views of the lake. Either way, the little cafe is a fab setting for a coffee paired with a flaky pastry! Situated just a stone’s throw away from the town center, this is a delightful gem.

We sat by the lake, which was just lovely – even on an overcast day.

Whether you’re indulging in breakfast, lunch, or morning tea, French Riviera spoils you with a selection of freshly baked French delicacies. From colorful macarons, delicate cakes, buttery croissants, and more, all meticulously crafted with the quality you come to expect from Maison St Honore.

While we popped in for a coffee and a sweet treat for morning tea. We indulged in a mango mousse cake and a triple chocolate mousse cake (both Gluten Free), accompanied by coffee and hot chocolate. The kids’ hot chocolate came adorned with a marshmallow, and they even asked for the preferred temperature, a thoughtful touch for the kids. It’s no good when they burn their little mouths!

The true star of this café’s menu is the crepes. With many options ranging from classic savoury combinations to innovative sweet twists like Oreo crepes. I was surprised with its good selection of breakfast dishes such as avocado on toast and scrambled eggs.

For families dining at French Riviera, there’s a little kids’ play area complete with a cubby house. Plus, a dedicated kids’ menu and highchairs too.

Be sure to treat yourself and the family to a taste of France right in the heart of Ellenbrook.
