Just a short country drive from Gnomesville, you’ll find a charming little bushland nook filled with hundreds of frogs of every kind – ceramic, plush, and delightfully odd! Frog’s Hollow sits in Mosedale Park, Lowden, opposite the old Preston Valley Store at the corner of Donnybrook–Boyup Brook Road and Ferguson Road. Since around 2016, these characterful “frogs” have multiplied, and the collection continues to grow as visitors add their own. It’s an easy, light wander and a fun photo stop to add to a day out in the Ferguson Valley and Donnybrook region.

What you’ll find
Frog’s Hollow is a community-grown display dotted through the bush – peek beside shrubs, under rocks, in tree hollows and tucked into branches to spot the different “frog families.” It’s a simple pleasure, best enjoyed slowly, with time to wander, look closely, and have a laugh at the more eccentric amphibians.
Visitors are welcome to place a frog within the designated area, taking care not to disturb existing displays. If you don’t have one with you, the Donnybrook Visitor Centre reportedly carries little frog mementos you can bring back on a future visit.
