A relaxed breakfast at Monty’s Restaurant, at Pan Pacific Perth is a great way to start the day. There’s something undeniably delicious about hotel breakfast done well, and the buffet at Monty’s is a very good reason to linger a little longer over your morning.

Located within the hotel on Adelaide Terrace, Monty’s offers a generous buffet breakfast in a comfortable, polished setting. You don’t need to be staying at the hotel to enjoy it either, which makes it a nice option for a city breakfast catch-up or a leisurely start before a day in Perth. Monty’s feels calm and unhurried, with attentive service and a setting that encourages you to slow down rather than rush through a meal. The coffee is barista-made, which always makes a difference, and mine was excellent.

The buffet itself has plenty of variety, whether you lean towards something light and fresh or prefer a more traditional cooked breakfast. There’s an appealing selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereals and breads, along with all the hot breakfast favourites such as eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, roasted tomatoes and hash browns.

A standout feature is the fresh omelette and egg station, where dishes are cooked to order. It’s a nice touch and adds that little bit of personal service that lifts the whole breakfast experience. There are also rotating options from day to day, plus an Asian station, which gives the buffet a bit more interest than the standard hotel spread.

I was also pleased to see thoughtful dietary options, including a few gluten free choices and a dedicated toaster, making it more accessible for those with specific dining needs.

Monty’s is a spot where breakfast feels like part of the outing, rather than just a meal. It’s easy, comfortable and quietly indulgent – just perfect for a relaxed start to your morning in the city.
