Lavender Estate, Carabooda

Yanchep Lavender

Just 40 minutes north of Perth and beside Yanchep National Park, Lavender Estate is a boutique lavender farm with a relaxed café, beer‑garden feel and gift shop—ideal for an unhurried day trip. Meals are picnic‑style and served from the café bar, with local wines, craft beers and lavender treats on offer.

You can settle indoors, on the deck or out on the lawns overlooking the fields. Dogs are welcome on leash, and there’s a shaded Playground if you’re visiting with the grandkids.

The estate is open year‑round, with ornamental lavender adding colour across the seasons; for the full purple spectacle, time your visit for summer when the fields typically bloom from December to February, creating a beautiful backdrop for photos.

The café keeps things easy and relaxed. Whether you’re after a long lunch or something simple—chips and an ice cream—the menu suits a slow afternoon in the fresh air.

Lavender scones and ice cream are house favourites, and the drinks list features WA wines, craft beer and lavender‑inspired options.

As everything is served takeaway‑style, you can choose any spot that suits, from the shaded deck to the open lawns by the lavender rows.

If you enjoy a guided experience, the Devonshire Tea & Distillery Talk makes a lovely outing for day‑trippers, clubs and coach groups. It includes a freshly baked lavender scone with tea or barista coffee, a 25‑minute hosted talk about the farm story and distillation process, and time to browse the gift shop. The experience is currently $28 per person and is available on Thursdays and Fridays via the booking diary, or by appointment.

Planning is straightforward. Walk‑ins are welcome, though bookings are suggested—particularly on weekends and in bloom season. Online bookings are accepted for groups up to 20, and larger gatherings can be arranged directly with the team. Lavender Estate is fully licensed, so there’s no BYO and outside food or cakes aren’t permitted. Opening hours are Thursday and Friday 10:30am–6:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9:00am–6:30pm; hours may vary seasonally, so it’s best to check before you go.

For a comfortable visit in warmer months, consider arriving earlier in the day for cooler temperatures and soft light across the fields. A hat, sunscreen and water are sensible if you plan to linger on the lawns. If you prefer table seating, opt for the café or deck; the lawns offer a more picnic‑style experience. The on‑site gift shop stocks WA‑made lavender products, including essential oils, lotions, pillow mists and honey—easy take‑home treats or gifts.

Lavender Estate is in Carabooda, right by Yanchep National Park. Use the “Get Directions” link on the Visit Us page to plan your drive, and consider booking ahead during peak bloom to make the most of a serene day among the lavender (Visit Us).
