How many times have you hummed to yourself the words of Chersโ song โIfย I could turn back timeโ? Like many of our era I am sure you have and you would probably be referring to a lifestyle and not a love? Well yesterday I did exactly that. I turned back time and stepped into the world of yesteryear.I found this quirky shabby chic treasure trove tucked away in the commercial area of Myaree and I can honestly say you could drive past a dozen times and miss it, but it is definitely worth stopping and actually stepping inside.
It is really hard to find words to describe this whimsical โolde worldeโ paradise.ย Every nook and cranny is filled with the most eclectic paraphernalia of bygone times. As one wanders around you keep saying things like “I remember this in Grandmasโhouseโ or โMum had one of these when I was a little girlโ.
The range of vintage, antique and shabby chic for sale is beyond imagination and is a fossickers delight. Which ever direction you look whether it be up, down, under or on top there is a treasure to behold and you need to walk around more than once to even start to absorb the wonderful memories.
I could not try to cover the variety of items available, but needless to say it ranges from furniture to the tiniest pieces of jewelry and everything in between. Hopefully some of the pictures will whet your appetite to make a visit to this magical place.
The uninitiated might say that some items should be thrown away but I can assure you to others they are an absolute treasure.
If you are into upcycling, the lovely and knowledgeable owner Amara supplies Wisteria Lane Chalk Paint in a wide range of colors. This product is a locally owned and hand made product. Maybe a new challenge of creativity.
To rest your weary limbs and memory overload, one can sit, relax and enjoy a wonderful Devonshire tea served in beautiful bone china cups accompanied by home made scones, jam and cream. Yummy.
Wisteria Lane also runs the Shabby Chic Vintage Market Place on Saturdays which is an undercover pop up market for sellers with a wide range of items.
I look forward to returning to review one of the market days soon though I may have to do some saving first!
