Little Olive Leaf Cafe, Willagee

Little Olive Tree Cafe

How lucky am I to have found another cosy café with great coffee and fabulous food in the Southern suburbs.  Just seconds off North Lake Rd between Leach H’Way and South Street, you could be forgiven for not knowing this gem existed. Little Olive Leaf CafeBut rest assured it is worth popping in and enjoying a little bit of “Mediterranean” ambiance.Little Olive Leaf Cafe

Plenty of parking and extra parking across the road in the Carawatha Playground and Nature Park which is one of the nicest parks I have come across for all ages and mobilities. Also great for the fur buddy to have a romp after you have indulged yourself.Little Olive Leaf Cafe

What a wonderful surprise. This little shady backyard garden covered by trellises of leafy vines complete with bunches of grapes (which you are allowed to taste) just oozes peace and tranquillity.  Under the dappled greenery there are plenty of little nooks and crannies to sit in and everyone seemed to just blend into the background. Further out the back is a small cute play area for children and while I was there at one point there were six littlies playing and I really didn’t know they were there.  I think they were under the magic spell of the garden.Little Olive Leaf Cafe

The light lunches and salads being served to other patrons looked colourful and vibrant and all plates that I could see were absolutely empty when going back to the kitchen. Enough said.

The prices are very reasonable and my coffee & cake were cheaper than anything I have had for a long time. I am going back to try some lunch next week.

Their amenities located between the café and garden are well kept and include a change table.

Overall I had a very pleasant time and my only regret is that it is not closer to my suburb but I think I will find plenty of excuses to be in the Willagee area.
