Last night was our Rotary club ladies dinner at Casa Delizia on Preston Street in Como.
They only opened six weeks ago, but word must have gotten out that it’s good as it was super busy.

It was very nice indeed, with really friendly service and great food.

The menu was interesting and varied which made it very difficult to choose, next time (because there’ll definitely be a next time)I’ll try the quail or the gnocchi and perhaps a few nibbles before the mains.

The food took around an hour from ordering to being served but they were full (a very good sign on a Wednesday evening) and we were happy to chat and have drinks.

My Quattro formaggi pizza with the addition of nduja was excellent, with a very nice spotty, crunchy and fluffy cornicione (crust) and a nice toasty thin base.

It came as no surprise that they use cheese from my favourite cheese shop La Delizia Latticini in Vic Park.
I couldn’t eat all my pizza as it was huge, so I asked for a box to take it home for breakfast.
Unfortunately for me, my son, who had had some rather disappointing dumplings for dinner which hadn’t quite hit the spot, finished it off when I got home!
All the ladies enjoyed their dinner, and it received a big thumbs up from everyone.

There’s a lovely outdoor seating area too, perfect for the warmer weather that’s on its way.
I can highly recommend the limoncello spritz which was even more delicious than the Aperol spritz.

I could certainly knock back a few of these fruity fizzes with no problem whatsoever which is excellent, as we have homemade limoncello at home and Prosecco in the fridge all ready to go!
Cheers!
