Aqua Resort Busselton

If you’re seeking a down south stay that is not just comfortable, but luxurious, look no further than Aqua Resort near Busselton. Found on Bussell Highway in Abbey, a mere 15-minute drive from Dunsborough and 10 minutes from Busselton, this resort offers an ideal base for exploring the region. Though, like me, you might find it hard to resist the resort’s amenities! I chose to stay, choosing to simply unwind and enjoy its abundant amenities and close proximity to the beach.

Our check-in at Aqua Resort was easy, and we drove up the driveway to our house, bordered by peppermint trees. During our four-day stay, we settled into a spacious four-bedroom, three-bathroom Grove House, complete with a private plunge pool. This elegant accommodation includes two king-sized master suites with ensuites, two king single beds, and four cosy bunks, comfortably accommodating two families. Or why not take the grandkids?

A welcome hamper greeted us on the expansive island bench, stocked with cereals, fresh bread, butter, fruit, yoghurt, milk, chocolate, cheese, crackers, and more.

The living area provided plenty of relaxation space on the large sofa, and a deck for unwinding.

The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to whip up delicious meals, while the large dining table was perfect for family game nights.

And of course, the heated plunge pool (at about 28 degrees) was loved by the kids!

Each residence boasts exquisite ensuites featuring relaxing rain showers and spacious baths. Even the family bathroom, shared by the kids, was very well-appointed. In cooler months, the fireplace can keep you cosy. And for longer stays, a fully equipped laundry is very handy. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available, although screen time was minimal as the kids were busy swimming, fishing, or riding scooters up the driveway.

For those who can pull themselves away from their beautiful houses, the resort offers a range of amenities, including a tennis court, a 25-meter infinity lap pool, a steam room, a gym, and an outdoor spa.

As a beachfront resort, Aqua Resort provides easy access to breathtaking ocean views, with our house just a short 100-meter walk to the white sands of Geographe Bay. The kids brought their fishing rods and caught whiting and even a crab!

During school holidays, Aqua Resort offers a range of additional activities and services for kids and adults. From morning yoga sessions on the lawns to face painting, cookie decorating, ice cream trucks, and circus activities, there’s something for everyone. Adults can savour morning coffee and pastries, and spa services are available to book.
