There’s a new hotel in the city! Found at Barrack Street, the DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront will be welcoming guests from December 15. Seniorocity has been invited in for a very special sneak preview. We can tell you it’s well worth booking a staycation at.
Located right on the Swan River, next to Perth’s famous Bell Tower, the DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront offers full 360° Swan River and city views.
The Rooms
Part of the hotel sits on the Swan River, on stilts, meaning it truly is a “Waterfront” hotel. The 18 floors are made up of 229-rooms (with either city or river views), a restaurant, pool area and rooftop bar.
The DoubleTree uses an innovative digital key system where Hilton Honors guests can use an app on their smartphone as the room key. You can check-in using the app, meaning you can arrive and go straight to your room. But you may also like to check in manually and be greeted with one of their famous warm chocolate chip cookies.
There are nine room configurations to choose from, including King or Twin Deluxe Panoramic River View or City View rooms. If you are staying as a family, two adjoining standard rooms can be booked, or the Deluxe rooms can accommodate a rollaway bed.
Standard rooms feature a shower in the bathroom, whereas the deluxe rooms also contain a very inviting bath.
Luxe Crabtree and Evelyn products are found in the bathrooms. And you’re sure to have a good night’s sleep with your choice of pillow from the Signature Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree sleeping experience.
An outdoor infinity pool enjoys views across the Swan River and there are plenty of sun lounges to laze on with a good book.
There is also a well-equipped gym, which is open 24-hours a day.
Reel Kitchen
Reel Kitchen has amazing Swan River views and a menu focusing on fresh seasonal produce, in particular Western Australian seafood.
Head-chef Mohammed Musaddiq’s signature dish is a Flamed grilled chicken cured with chilli citrus served with capsicum purée, baby cos lettuce, jalapeño and beets – it’s as delicious as it looks.
18 Knots Rooftop Bar
Perched high on the 18th floor rooftop, offering spectacular 360 views of Perth, is the 18 Knots Bar. Here you’ll find an impressive cocktail menu, and casual food menu with light bites and share plates.
DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront is a stunning hotel, found at 1 Barrack Square, Perth. It’s very well placed for exploring Barrack Street Jetty, Elizabeth Quay and the CBD. The hotel opens its doors on December 15 2020.
