On the bustling Victoria Street in the heart of Bunbury, The Townhouse is a popular café that stands out for all the right reasons. Conveniently located within walking distance to the city’s shops and the Bunbury Estuary Foreshore, it’s the perfect spot to fuel up before exploring all that Bunbury has to offer. Open seven days a week, The Townhouse covers all your café cravings, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and everything in between. Whether you’re after a hearty morning meal, a midday caffeine pick-me-up, or a coffee and cake date, they’ve got you covered.

On a warm summer’s day, I popped in for a quick takeaway, grabbing a coffee, an iced chocolate, and their gluten-free banana bread. I smothered the freshly toasted banana bread with butter, which was perfect for eating on the go.

What really stood out, for me, was their coffee. Brewed with Blacklist roast beans, it was rich, smooth, and absolutely deserving of their reputation among coffee enthusiasts. As someone who proudly identifies as a coffee snob, I was thoroughly impressed. Mr H loved his iced chocolate (with cream AND ice cream too).

The café’s atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a touch of quirkiness that makes it uniquely memorable. One wall features an amusing coffee snob mural that’s both relatable and Instagram-worthy. While waiting for my order, I couldn’t help but eye the brunch dishes being served. Every plate that was carried from the kitchen looked vibrant and delicious, making me promise myself a sit-down meal on my next visit.

Whether you’re a Bunbury local or just passing through, The Townhouse is a must-visit for top coffee, delicious eats, and a charming setting. It’s a standout on the Victoria Street strip.
