Follow the link below for more information.We were picked up from our hotel in a smallish 4×4 coach by a very friendly and informative driver who was giving us a mini guided tour along the way to the pearl farm. Willie Creek Pearl Farm is situated just 38km out of Broome. The drive was exciting as it was partly off road and we seemed to be going quite fast! But our driver was obviously very experienced, as she did the same drive about 6 times a day. At first I thought there was not much to see at the farm but thankfully, I was soon proved wrong. We were taken to an area set up for a guided talk about the oysters and pearls. Our guide was very informative, witty and interactive with our group.After that we had a lovely afternoon tea of damper, fresh fruit, cake, juice and tea/coffee which was included in the tour package.We were then taken on a small boat out into the Willie Creek itself and given a tour and talk on the care and farming of oysters.Back on shore we then went to the pearl show room where you could purchase gorgeous pearls if you wish.There is a nice cafe with good toilet facilities. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was good value for money, very informative and interesting. The Willie Creek team definitely made every effort to ensure everyone had an enjoyable experience.
