National ANZAC Centre Albany

The National ANZAC Centre is an absolute must-do in the Great Southern region. The museum tells a poignant tale of the ANZACs, who left from Albany’s King George Sound for World War One. The grounds are free to visit, and there’s many things to look at (large artillery pieces, memorials and the view), as well as a large gift shop and café. It’s easy to spend a whole day there. Albany’s Historic Whaling Station

Discovery Bay is home to Albany’s Historic Whaling Station. Operating for almost 26 years, the spot where Australia’s last whale was harpooned has now been turned into a museum all about the coastal town’s whaling history. The Brig Amity Replica, Albany

The Brig Amity brought the first white settlers to Albany on Christmas Day in 1826. Ellen Cove Boardwalk Trail, Albany

Cycle Path Emu Point to Middleton Beach, Albany
