Yanchep Lavender

The Yanchep Lavender farm’s new café is so close to being open! Found on the outskirts of Yanchep, the lavender farm has been selling their lavender products and ice creams from their shed. A former turf farm, it is now Perth’s largest operating lavender farm. Here owners Karla and Gary grow, harvest and distil the lavender on site. The flowering lavender field is stunning (mid-January is when it hits its peak). These make for pretty photos, but there are also a couple of ornamental lavender rows, that flower year-round.

If you are allergic, it’s worth noting there are many bees around when the lavender flowers. Though they will most probably be too busy working to bother you. You’ll probably spot a butterfly or two as well. Yanchep Lavender is free for everyone to visit. The gates are open Tuesday to Sunday. Professional photographers are welcome, but photoshoots are needed approval by Yanchep Lavender.

The soon to be opened café is beautiful, contracted with recycled timbers, a wide verandah and a purple glass fleck in the polished concreate. It will be a lovely spot to stop for a coffee and ice cream, looking over the lawns and lavender field. The ice cream, made by Millers, is delicious.

The shop and café are due to open early 2022. In the meantime, visitors are welcome to stop by the temporary shop where there is a range of oils, soaps, melts, beauty products and more! Eftpos facilities are available.

You can also purchase all products online.

Be sure to follow Yanchep Lavender on Facebook for regular updates.
