Burswood Park

Burswood Park
Burswood Park features a fabulous, shady, fenced-in playground to take your grandchildren to over the school holidays or a family picnic.
Burswood Park
It is a beautiful setting on the banks of the Swan River. Lovely green, grassy, family open areas to sit and have a picnic. Stunning views of theย  Swan River and city backdrop. There are cool, shady trees, park benches to sit on and relax, cycle and walk path, landscaped gardens, playground and sculptures to enjoy. Burswood Park is located about 200 meters south of the Crown Casino on the Burswood Peninsula. You will find the park entrance off Great Eastern Hwy, turn into Resort drive and head towards the river.ย It is just passed where they have the Burswood outdoor cinemas.
The playground is fenced in and built around a huge, shady Morton Bay tree. It consists of 3 sets of play/climbing equipment and 3 ride on spring horses, great for toddlers and older children. There is seating inside the fenced area.
Burswood Park
Burswood Park has a number of unique bronze sculptures. I love this one of three children playing hop scotch.
There is a plaque nearby with all the hopscotch rules. There are 2 hopscotch games located next to the playground. Children just need to find a stone to start their own game.
Burswood Park
A sculpture of Willem De Vlamingh is about a 20 metre walk from the playground, heading north along the foreshore. It was he who named the Swan River.

Next to Willem is a sculpture of a black swan flapping its wings
I captured Vascio, an overseas artist, who was fascinated by our beautiful Perth city, Swan River and sculptures.

Bronze sculpture of “The Story teller” which overlooks the river and playground.

Burswood Park
Many families enjoy an evening dinner and BBQ on the spacious Burswood Park. Children chase birds, play in the playground and have fun playing a game of hopscotch.
It is close proximity to Crown resort, Chevron Park, Optus stadium, Sensory Park and Matagarup Bridge.
