The Seniorocity Guide to Hillarys Boat Harbour

Hillarys Boat Harbour

Hillarys Boat Harbour has been a popular place to spend the day in Perth for the past few decades. The seaside spot is compact and flat, making it a great place for a wander around the attractions, shops, manicured parklands and beautiful beach – and the parking is FREE. Hillarys is also a dining mecca, where you can munch on everything from sweet snacks – gelato and the Honeycake, to easy takeaways and places to enjoy a casual bite with friends, or an upmarket Feed upstairs at the Breakwater. See our big guide to Hillarys Boat Harbour here.

Eating at Hillarys Boat Harbour

Hillarys Boat Harbour is a brilliant spot to meet up with friends for a coffee and cake. San Churro is the best place for a hot chocolate and churros (Spanish doughnuts) or something else from their tempting chocolate range.

Looking for brunch or lunch? Overboard Café and the Local Shack are both tasty options. Overboard Café (found by the Rottnest Ferry Jetty) overlooks the boat pens on the harbour and offers big, BIG mugs of coffee. The Local Shack is a good spot for burger lovers, and those after a casual feed. There’s lots of board games to enjoy here too.

For something a bit more substantial, head to award winning Thai restaurant Dusit Devah, for an Asian feast. Little C’s is popular for a gourmet pizza. Love a steakhouse? At the themed Old Wild West you can sit by the saloon-style bar, like something straight out of a western or even dine in a mine train!
