Tucked neatly away off the Great Northern Highway is the House of Honey and Meadery.
Although the car park is not very big, it does have a disabled parking bay and parking for a tour bus, plus overflow parking out on the verge. On stepping out from your transport you will find a small garden where you are invited to have your photograph taken posing as a bee keeper, before wandering down a small bush pathway to the main entrance.

At the entrance hangs a plaque on the wall informing visitors that several languages are spoken by the staff proving to be valuable for overseas travellers.
A lovely selection of cakes and desserts with many honey themed treats to suit the sweetest tooth.
The house of honey specialises in raw, pure honey. They have many apiary sites scattered throughout Western Australiaโs forests where bee hives are moved around depending on the availability of nectar. All the honey has its own unique flavour as you will find out through your tastings.
Did you know that honey has many healing properties as well as Apple Cider Vinegar with honey? Or that Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages in the world. Find out about these from the friendly staff or pick up one of the many brochures scattered around the show room.
Children would learn a great deal of information and visual stimulation from the history of bees and honey making, as well as viewing the live bee hive display where they can watch bees going about their busy day to day lives.

So for grandparents, this is an interesting place to take the grand kids for a visit – that can become a great educational project as well.
There is something to catch the eye of all generations, as you wander through the showroom. You will see not only honey but beeswax candles, royal jelly, body products, pollen and honey pots to name a few.
When you finish tasting and browsing in the main showroom a treat awaits the over eighteens as tasting continues in the Meadery.
Here you have all the honey infused meads to look forward too.
Make sure you have a skipper!
At the bar, the friendly staff will explain the contents and what taste to expect on your palate as you work through the tasting list.
You can then relax in the air-conditioned cafรฉ where beverages and cake are served, or sit outside on the covered veranda.
You could even indulge in a honey flavoured ice-cream!
As the honey house says โFrom the Bees to you naturallyโ
