If you’re going to eat cake, you can get much fresher than the traditional homemade cakes at Sherbet Cafe and Bake Shop! The cakes of the day are displayed in all of their glory. Bites by D, Mt Hawthorn

Dome, Bassendean

New Ritual, Midland

Carmel Tea Rooms, Carmel

You’ll be sure to get a warm Perth Hills welcome at the Carmel Tea Rooms. The cakes in the cabinet are so tempting, we often take a few takeaway cakes home after brunch there. The Key Lime pie is always scrumptious. All cakes and slices are baked in house. See the Seniorocity review here.

Pere Bakery, Gooseberry Hill,

Pere Bakery in Gooseberry Hill is found next to the popular Embers restaurant. The bakery has been a Perth Hill’s favourite for long time. It was known as Le Croissant Du Moulin for many years. Coffee at The Shed, Roleystone

Coffee at The Shed is a wonderful coffee shop found inside the Raeburn Orchards packing shed. Popular with Perth Hills locals, it’s ideal for grabbing a takeaway and taking a wander around the fruit trees, or pulling up a chair to enjoy a cuppa and slice of cake. Millpoint Caffe Bookshop, South Perth

If you love a view served up with your cuppa, The Boatshed café is a beautiful spot. The café is found right on the banks of the Swan River. Waterside Café Moka, found at Mandurah’s Dolphin Quay, has a tasty all-day breakfast and lunch menu. Plus, their chiller cabinet is well stocked with cakes and treats, sandwiches and other savory options. I was pleased that there were plenty of gluten free bites too.
