Little Nook Café
If you would really like to escape the city, make sure you check out Little Nook Café and what this beautiful little destination has to offer you. It is the perfect place to stop if you’re planning to head off and explore Railway Heritage Trails. The veranda at this awesome little destination is ideal for soaking up the gorgeous sunshine or staying out of the rain.
This spot has an all-day menu that offers up salads, muesli bowls, big breakfast options, burgers, eggs benedict, breaky wraps, granola, and even fluffy pancakes. It is a favourite stop for many people who are out enjoying the scenery in Darlington. You can really enjoy so much here.

Carmel Tearooms
You’ll be sure to get a warm Perth Hills welcome at the Carmel Tea Rooms. Sit out on the deck, overlooking the Bickley Valley or inside the café. There’s plenty of tables inside, as well as beautiful oodles of character from a stained-glass window, roaring wood fire (in winter) and even an old stove, converted to a sink! Wether you’re craving brunch, lunch or coffee and cake, we highly recommend this spot.

The Hive Darlington
The Hive Darlington occupies an absolutely enchanting historic building that was once known as the local post office and general store. Formerly known as Perella’s, this spot is so much more than just a café in the Perth Hills. In fact, it is more of a hub for all of the locals in Darlington!
As locals for the past 10 years, when the Bell Family saw the chance to run this café, they jumped at the opportunity. Now, they are doing an absolutely excellent job at keeping this spot going with strong community vibes. You can enjoy home-cooked, nutritious and delicious meals that bring you together.This spot is well-known for connecting locals over a great cuppa and meal to create authentic and long-lasting friendships. We highly recommend popping in if you have the chance!

Jack & Jill
Jack and Jill is a super spacious and exciting place to visit whenever you’re in Kalamunda. This spot not only offers up tasty food and drink options, but also provides a coffee in the heart of Kalamunda. The menu offers both healthy and naughty treats for you to enjoy. The food here is impressive. Everything here comes in a fairly decent serving size to keep you full for all of the adventuring you will do in the Perth Hills afterwards. Trust us, you won’t regret it!

Mason & Bird
Mason & Bird is a really cool spot that opened up back in 2016. Now, it is a stalwart of Kalamunda’s unique café scene. You can enjoy some classic brunch options and classic brekkies with a cool twist whenever you visit this café.
This spot is dog and family-friendly with great breakfast dishes, creamy coffee, and a huge selection of sandwiches and burgers that will fill your belly and warm your heart. You will love everything on offer when you visit this spot. We highly recommend the burgers.
They are big, well-priced, and the ideal brunch option. However, you can’t really go wrong with such an excellent and expansive menu.

Walk down the garden path to A Patch of Country café,in the heart of Mundaring. The quaint spot is popular with those who seek a coffee with a dash of charm. This cute cottage café is more than just a place to sip on a cup of tea. A Patch of Country is a unique blend of a café and a gift shop and serves up tasty goodies that get a good review from the locals. You have to add this spot to your cafe bucket list!

The Packing Shed
Situated right on the Lawnbrook Winery in Bickley, The Packing Shed is a super cool location that ticks all of the boxers. With an excellent team of staff, a seasonally rotating menu, and great drinks, this spot is most certainly worth the drive. This spot also offers some pretty spectacular views that you could never get sick of.
In winter, you can take a cosy seat next to the warm wood hearer, but when the sun is out, you can take complete advantage of the picnic blankets and find a spot on the lawn. Don’t forget to pop in and enjoy a delicious wine-tasting experience with the team!
The coffee here is sourced from local beans at Bolt Coffee Roasters. This is how you know you’re getting some pretty decent coffee on your visit.

Cherith Grove Café
Cherith Grove cafe is the ideal place to go if you’re looking for good food, great coffee, and country-style service with a smile. Tucked away near the Noble Falls Reserve, this Gidgegannup gem is spread across an 8-hectare olive grove, creating a Mediterranean-like ambiance. The cosy cafe offers indoor seating and a lovely alfresco setting on the veranda. The view over the lemon trees and old olive oil press is just lovely. There’s breakfast, lunch options, their speciality being wood-fired pizzas. You definitely have to stop in at this spot!

Bean 2 Brook Café
This gorgeous little coffee spot is loved by the locals. The small café in the Perth Hills is perfect for grabbing a quick coffee, particularly on the run. The café has a very handy drive through window too. The cafe touts itself as being dog friendly, bike friendly and also HORSE friendly!

Coffee at The Shed, Roleystone
Coffee at The Shed in Roleystone is a sweet coffee shop found inside the Raeburn Orchards packing shed shop. Popular with Perth Hills locals, it’s ideal for grabbing a takeaway, or pulling up a chair to enjoy a cuppa. There are lots of cakes, biscuits, slices, gourmet paninis, croissants and bagels on offer in the cabinet.

Loved your review of the cafe gems in the hills…but you forgot to mention one of the best: Glen Forrest Gourmet at 7 Railway Pde, Glen Forrest. Great homemade breakfast, lunches and freshly baked cakes and scones.
